Will black wheels look weird on my black X1?

My X1 is black sapphire metallic with the msport package and 19" wheels. My grille and mirrors are also black from the factory.

The only exterior pieces not black are the headlights, taillights and wheels.

will black wheels look werid on my black X1 that's already quite black?

It’s all down to personal preference but there are some photos in the attached link on the last page.

it's a personal choice, and not one I would make. If you like that look, do it.

I have a Black-out X1. I like it and have received a lot of positive comments.

The style is not for everyone. On some cars it looks bad - I don't think it does on this one.

is it safe to assume that people will be judging very harshly if I put gold wheels on a black X1... or any other black BMW?

I would consider gold wheels an outdated look. I also think it's a bit disjointed on the xLine trim with the silver accents.

YMMV

John Player Special!!!!

I agree with Tex though. You'd have to black out the rest.
