I'm wondering if the different version numbers of the software correspond to different markets and/or production dates. My car is an early model before Driver Assistant Pro was available, and my current version is 03/2023.45

I agree - ever since the last update, I'm convinced there is now less throttle lag when setting off!

After driving around the past couple of days, this is my impression: The throttle lag is lessened, but definitely still there. It doesn't seem to interfere as often as it did before, but still happens. BUT, the throttle pedal feels less responsive overall, like there's a spongy quality to it where it was more direct before. Sport mode feels a bit more sensitive than before, but pretty much the same.

But then again, this might all be in my head.

After couple of weeks driving, I have to admit things became worse with 03/2023.45 in Personal mode. I started to experience more often cases when going around 70 km/h and press full throttle for doing overtaking and literally nothing happens for 2 seconds. It's a safety issue. I have not experienced this before. Start/Stop became also more annoying especially when you stopped and need to move right away, push accelerator and nothing, no engine and car is not moving for 2 seconds . Sport mode - everything as it was and good. Why BMW intentionally destroys ultimate driving experience in default mode not allowing default mode to be changed and stored?

I have seen so many posts saying the same, I think US owners need to start raising complaints on a drivability and safety prospective with BMW. A few people being a little sensitive about it is one thing but the current implementation seems really poor in the US market.

Depends on when you got the car and your region. For the iX1, the latest software via OTA is 03/2023.60. Dealer-installed software version for X1 seems to be 07/2023.40, but this is not yet available via OTA

Was this an OTA update, dealer installed, or did the car come with this software?

Thanks! I thought it would be dealer-installed. As far im aware, nobody has had 07/2023 as an OTA. Hopefully soon!

Wait until you get to 03.2023.75...a few weird changes, especially with Lane Assist and Cruise Control and some AA/Carplay (son's mobile) infrequent disconnect issues...wife's x1 had a forced sw update when they replaced a faulty BDC and main battery a few months ago

are you still on the .45 version or has it updated to a newer version?

after taking delivery at the end of April(6 months ago), my X1 is still on 03/2023.35. The app and the BMW dealer both showed no updates.

I've just had the OTA Download of 07/2023.53 applied to my UK 2 Series Active Tourer (U06). All appears to have gone smoothly with the installation.
Can someone clarify if this is effectively now iDrive 8.5, or is it simply an incremental update to iDrive 8.0 pending further update to 8.5 at some later stage? Thanks

It’s just an update to iDrive 8 the 8.5 will only be released to certain cars. I know there is some info on here somewhere as to which are getting 8.5

If I remember well, id8.5 only for non-entry level series.
So, iX1/X1/2AT U06/U11 built before November 23, will remain stuck at id8.
From November23....they will be delivered with id9 configuration

How is it so far? Any noticeable changes? Does the comfort entry work?
I’m guessing I’ll have to wait a little longer for this update to come to the iX1
