Some dealers already have them so I'm guessing it started production already.

That's for a photo shoot. 🤷🏻*♂️

If they start popping up everywhere, then I will believe it. My Sales rep told me allocations will be available later this year.

Ugh, waiting for the configurator to go live. Still trying to decide if I want an M35i when it comes out, but since that will be even longer I may just pull the trigger and trade later lol.

Pardon my ignorance, but what does SOP stand for in this context? It's not for Standards Operating Procedure, surely.

How long before SOP do they typically allow orders to be put in?

That I don't know, sorry. Keep an eye out for the site configurator. I assume once you see it there, you'll be in a position to place an order. Or, double check with your dealer. They should be able to tell you

FYI just noticed the Canadian configurator is up. Maybe US one is up as well (didn't check). Then call your dealer

I just called one of my local dealers, who said the configurator might not go live until they start production, and that won't be until September at the earliest because the German plant always takes August off every year, like some sort of holiday. I can't honestly believe this. Is that true? That makes no sense. They're not the US Congress for crying out loud.

Keep checking, Canadian one has been up for at least 3 or 4 days. I can't imagine the US configurator won't be up for another month. I think maybe your dealer is mistaken.

There has been occasions where a vehicle line started production in August, got to dealer lot/showroom shortly after, but the BMW USA online configurator didn't get updated till October or November.

My 2023 X2 build today finally went to "Dispatched From Factory" ... any idea on how long it will take to get to the USA East Coast?
