U11 M sport
I need in depth knowledge of you guys here. So I helped order a 2023 X1 with M sport package for a friend. He received the car but it does not have any door sills. All the car reviews that I have seen has the “M” door sills when option for M sport package. The CA at the dealership told him X1 does not come with door sills. Is this true ?

Mine was ordered in November and delivered at the end of April. I don't even think it's possible to get one without those M doorsill. On his order sheet, did the M Sport package(ZMP) items show "9T2"(?) for M Sport interior trim? Here's a pic that I just took of my X1 a few minutes ago: Last edited by SpaceSilverX1; 08-19-2023 at 10:29 AM.. |

the good news is that the M doorsills are about $152 for the pair... if the dealer isn't willing to help correct the possible mistake by BMW, it's not that expensive to put them on. I looked at the part prices because I wanted to know the replacement cost if I scratched the doorsills. oh, wait... when my X1 arrived at the dealership in April the doorsills were covered by protective tape.... any chance that the M doorsills are still covered? Wasn’t one of the changes for 2024 for the deletion of door sills? Maybe they started early.

It looks like they started delete of door sills on my buddy’s 2023 model. His 2023 X1 was delivered on 08/12/2023. Thanks for all your expert inputs ! Appreciate it !

like I said, your buddy can easily get the M doorsill covers for $152/pair. probably just get the driver's side for $76. the passenger is not going to notice it! on the other hand, save the money. With those awesome red seats, notbody will pay any attention to the doorsills! I would have gotten the red seats, but I wanted the Alcantara. |

after reading your comment, I starting thinking about why I bought the X1 with M Sport package.
I actually just wanted three "M" things: the front/rear bumpers, the doorsill cover and the steering wheel with paddle shifter.... the car itself was just a nice bonus. |

Pretty sure these have been removed and I think they have removed the light from the glovebox as well and there was the M logo from the wings have also gone in some markets.
As warned to some who have waited, BMW is only removing things from models not adding it. Entire packs in the UK have been dropped from MY24 models it seems and they are being pushed to pay extra. |

They did remove them, this is why I’m curious to know the part number in order to check European price and also to see wether they are glued, or clip bolted like in other models…

Did the glove box ever have a light? My MSport was built in April/May, and it didn't come with a light in the glove compartment. So that change must have been much earlier (not that I miss it).

That’s strange. Mine was built April/May (standard UK M Sport spec) with delivery first week in June and has the glove box light. I would have been a bit miffed if it hadn’t and they just left a gaping hole where it should be. At the very least there should surely be a blanking plate? I’m wondering if this is maybe a quality control issue and it’s just been left out? Are there any wires/connectors in behind the hole?
