What color is your X1?

Quick poll:

What color is your X1?

Alpine White
Jet Black
Black Sapphire
Mineral White
Phytonic Blue
Portimao Blue
San Remo Green
Cape York Green
Utah Orange
Space Silver
Storm Bay
Blue Bay Lagoon
Frozen Pure Grey

Edit: apologies to anyone who bought the Blue Bay Lagoon color. I accidentally left it out of the poll. Not sure how to add/edit an existing poll) Also don't know how to edit the poll to allow choosing 2 or more colors... as my family currently has two identical X1s on order(identical options/packages, the only difference being the colors.. one Space Silver and one Black Sapphire) (

not necessarily.... I don't know why, but Alpine White does not seem to be a no-cost paint option in Germany or some other European country. (only Jet Black is totally free)

BMW(Germany) website's configurator for X1 charges 300 euros for the color Alpine White(Alpinweiß)! Does anybody know why?

Yes, our friends in Germany appear to get a bad deal in some respects, compared to the UK.

Larger fuel tank is €200 option as opposed to £50 in the UK
Gangster glass is a €600 option as opposed to £300 in the UK

But there does seem to be some kind of government rebate for them that makes the plugin-in hybrids the same price or cheaper than mild hybrids.

privacy glass is forced on those of us in the US...

personally, I would prefer to have clear glass all around... why? because then I can tint it after I buy it and they will all match 100%. (matching the two front windows 100% to the factory tint in the back is not possible)

I'm too lazy to look because my flight is about to board in 10 minutes... [edit: just my luck.. as soon as I said that, they announced a 2-hour delay due to mechanical issues... )but are you saying petrol-only X1 in the UK or Europe can be ordered with a larger tank? If so, what is the size of the standard tank vs large tank?

(bigger is always better.... I borrowed my co-worker's husband's Ford pick-up truck for a project and it came with a 36-gallon tank... which was double the size of every car/suv that I've owned in the last 30+ years.. although I found out the hard way when I was getting gas before returning it to him... I thought the gas pump was broken because it kept going and going after over 30 gallons!)

Well I don't know what the hell I hit, but it wasn't my actual color, which is the gorgeous San Remo green.

Here in Hawaii, as long as the vehicle is classified as an SUV/Truck/Van, there is no limit to the darkness of the tint from the B-pillars and back, while the front must remain 35% or lighter. I plan to do 35% all around, so that with the privacy glass on the X1 the rear is significantly darker. Either way for me the front and rear windows wouldn't match.

consider getting the clear heat rejecting film for the windshield as well.. if that's allowed in Hawaii. I used to think that it was pointless until I had it on my cars. It's nearly impossible to see, but makes a very big difference in the brutally hot summers here in the south. I had the LLumar clear film applied by my window tinter who did all of my cars for the last 20 years. Without it, the dashboards becomes too hot to touch after baking just 30 minutes under the summer sun. After the clear film on the windshield was installed, the dashboard still got warm, but never got too hot to touch, even after hours of sitting in a parking lot.

although... whenever I was in Hawaii, I always rented convertible... still remember the very first time when I rented it a bright red Nissan 300ZX convertible back in the early 1990s and the top was down for those 3 weeks. best time I ever had in my life. took at least 6 months before my tan wore off.

Oh I’m definitely getting the windshield tinted. All my BMW’s have had it, it’s almost a necessity here. My left arm is still darker than my right because the sun beats down on it while driving even with the tint lol. It wasn’t even legal to tint the windshield at all until within the past 10 years or so and we still did it anyway.

That's the combo we ordered, but we were given piano black instead of the Eucalyptus. The dealer will rectify this hopefully soon.
