Do you mean that all 2023 got cancelled and will move to 2024 MY which will start production around August this year?

Thats what they told me, their all orders were moved to next year. May be it depends on the dealer.

If someone has any dealer details which has some production slot please let me know, so I can have a check with them.

I think we have couple of people whose car is planned for production this month. Maybe they can call BMW Genius and check the status.

Just had a call again, so the dealer told it's because of the ID9 implementation. They are moving production to next year for all trims/models of x1 so that every new model comes with ID9, this includes plug-in hybrids as well. The only model that's not affected is ix1.

since our order went through, the only benefit we have is we will be the first to receive next year January.

Yikes so you had a an agreed order No. you could track with BMW and its moved out? I had heard one person had a similar story but they didn't have the agreed No. with BMW to track so I think when the allocation has come through its next year not this.

I checked last Thursday and it was all on track and with the dealer contacting about organising when we are due to collect I'm hoping it hasn't moved.

One thing is for you check out the used section, there are a few that pop up from time to time of various specs and engines, worth a try.

That doesn't make sense though does it, they aren't going to make cars until next year due to ID9? So what are they going to build now, just iX1, I don't think so they can't get the batteries to cope, seems odd to me.

Just done that - still due for a Wk18 build with a status of 111, expect towards the end of this week or next it will get a firmer production date of 112. Certainly not moved back to 2023 I think that would need a rather robust conversation with the dealer, our eta for deliver is June, so about a month post build that seems reasonable to us.

You made me slightly nervous so i've just checked now:
"The current order status is 112 - order scheduled for daily production. This means your order has been scheduled by the factory, but is yet to go into production. & The estimated delivery week is the week starting on the 1st May 2023. This may subject to change."

I know where there’s a 30e due this month if anyone is looking.

I also called to check and they told me that my car is still planned for week 18 production. I guess we have to wait n see next couple of weeks to see how this impacts us.

This doesn’t make sense at all. All current models with iD8 will be updated to iD8.5 (as they can’t be upgraded to iD9 due to different architecture).
BMW wouldn’t halt all production for 9 months for iD9. Also, iD9 is scheduled for release very soon

I haven’t heard anything from my dealer in Canada. Status 112, scheduled for week 15.

Not an avaliable slot but some dealers do have brand new cars that they are selling, Williams have had ex demo cars and also a few 30e M-Sport or X-line they have sold brand new.

BMW UK also seems to have a stock search facility online of those cars still on deliver miles it might be worth looking at.

Had a check with multiple dealers which I've been in contact with, they all are saying petrol MHT will only be available next year. Only plugin/diesel are available sooner.

Also had a check on stock locator, many of the dealers don't have an x1 available.
