How did BMW somehow manage to match the 0-60 of the e84, a 10+ year old design? This thing needs a diet, even with a 4 cyl its almost 1000lbs heavier than the e84 35i. What an absolute joke, I can't think of many other bmw's that matched the performance of the same model 10+ years ago.

The E30 M3 may have been the worst selling M car of all time in the US. S14 is a decent motor but nowhere near the euro or even US s50/52s, the 54s, etc. Keep 4 cylinders away from M cars.

Not a bad looking car and it packs a punch. It says 0-60 in 5.2 seconds. That thing is definitely going to be doing it under 5 seconds knowing how conservative bmw is with their numbers.
The pricing is also solid. |

Not sure how anyone can be bearish on this thing. This is arguably “classic” BMW in all the best ways. The base X1 was already a very fun car to drive (bigger but more refined MINI), up the HP to over 300, a lot of smiles this thing will give.
Well done BMW. |

It looks great! High weight and slowish acceleration numbers make it less attractive...also, seems like universal garage remote should just come standard on a premium vehicle. I see plenty of X1 and x3s driving around my area, so what do I know?

Honestly, I'm kinda digging this. Tight, sober styling, great wheels, good tech and a really nice price. This will sell.
