Picked up our new Cape York Green standard X1 with oyster seats, premium package and remote start. I really don't think any pictures I've seen do the color justice. Love the color! Will take more pics later, but she's a dream to drive! Had to drive her 75 miles in the pouring rain from the Salem, Oregon dealership. Great team! We purchased our car and plan to keep her a long time. Bought the 10 year warranty.
Didn't go with X-line as we preferred the mirrors being the same color as the car. May swap out the grill for the silver trimmed one at some point.

Congrats, seems to be a very popular colour choice.

Cape York Green Metallic was the first color that I considered when I was placing the X1 order. (specifically Cape York with Oyster interior)

Ended up getting the Space Silver Metallic with Alcantara black interior and picked it up a week ago.

My BMW salesman said that it was the only silver X1 that they had ordered for customers since October.(out of more than 60 that they sold so far) Is silver no longer popular in Europe and US/Canada these days?

Mine is space silver as well. I over the past few years have either had black blue or grey but fancied a change this time. I think grey is the most popular colour in the U.K. and has been for a while now.
I am glad I chose the silver as it seems to be a rare colour at the moment even though the dealer I bought from has sold 3 in the last couple of months.

this Space Silver is more interesting than some of the other silver cars that I've owned in the past. It seems to look very different depending on lighting and which angle you're looking at it from. Just yesterday, I was coming out of a shopping mall and when I walked towards it, it looked gold with a hint of very faint green to me. Yet if I look out the 2nd story window right now, it appears grey to me from above.

I saw the pictures you posted of your silver X1. It's so pretty.... especially since it does not have those ugly amber reflectors in the front headlight housings like mine has... required for all cars in the US thanks to silly US regulations https://u11.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...&postcount=124

I agree it isn’t like the bright Titanium silver that used to be available on BMW’s the Space Silver is more subtle and like a lot of the metallics tends to look different in different light.

Nice. I ordered my Cape York Green X1 a month ago. Scheduled to finish build next week.

May I ask.... what was your cost/price for the extended warranty?

Silver used to be the default choice for premium German cars then they oversaturated the market and people went for dark greys, black and now blues. However its hard to argue they look great on most cars, and I believe will make a bit of a comeback especially as black has dropped away…

I'm just glad that BMW isn't using Rose Gold color like Mercedes these days.
