The X1 was parked inside my garage with the doors unlocked. When I saw the BMW app showing the left front door as open, I went downstairs to check it out.

The door was definitely closed, but I opened/closed it again anyway. Went back upstairs and the app still showed it as open. I pressed the lock button on the app and the car locked... then the "front left door open" indication changed to "all doors closed"

is this a bug that I need to be concerned about? my X1 is barely 10 days old and I've seen this at least 3 times already.

it has happened two more times... if I leave the car unlocked in the garage, the app reports the left front door as open(when it is definitely closed)

Guess I should have it checked out by the dealer soon...

was it the left or right front door that had the open indication?

since I'm in the US, I almost never open the other 3 doors.(with the left door being my driver's door)

Just wondering if on a right-hand-drive X1 with the right front door being the driver's door, the faulty indication is on that door instead?

Actually, my mistake, it was the front left window that it said was open. It wasn't open at all and car was locked.

And this morning, it's saying the sunroof is open but it certainly is not!

I have had this on a few occasions and when I refresh the app it updates and deletes the message. Sometimes though I have had to go out and put car in drive ready (ignition on) to clear it.

Fortunately, in my case, the error is cleared when I lock and unlock the X1 using the BMW app on my iPhone. (until a day or two later when it appears ago... but always when the X1 is left unlocked in my garage overnight)
