H&R introduces a set of lowering springs and wheel spacers for the current X1

Lowering is approx. 40-45 mm front and rear depending on the engines for non-M-Sport vehicles.
Vehicles with M-suspension lower 15 mm less.

I'm a bit like that, plus it doesn't look much lower anyway really.

If I wanted a dropped SUV I'd get a 3 series touring instead, job done that also handles a lot better than an SUV with a higher centre of gravity, but each to their own. I know in some markets that option isn't available mind for some.

that looks like stock height. usually H&R springs has a more aggressive drop compared to other springs. wtf?

Why not just buy a car that's not jacked up to start with?

my thoughts exactly...

since today is my weekly "tell it like it is" day, I'm just going to, well, tell it like it is...

H&R didn't make those lowering springs low enough. Other than the X1's owner who installed it, I'm guessing that nobody else will notice the lower height.

Drop another 1 or 2 inches... but like someone else already mentions, then might as well get a proper BMW 3-series Touring.(station wagon for us Americans)

end of rant for now.

they will know when I ask them to get out of the car in order for the front lower lip to clear the speed bump.

although the best solution is to get bags... so you can raise or lower via remote control!

That's a lot of money in that build right there. I'd actually love an E91 M3 Touring, but the newest M3 Touring has me drooling as well!

Though I'm not planning to lower the X1, I think with a nice set of coilovers that go an inch or two lower than the springs would look good. Just enough to close the fender gap but not quite tucking.
