Don’t forget we are not as lucky as you, we don’t get all the sun you get it is raining most of the year

It’s actually been raining almost every day for the past two months lol, it’s not always sunshine and rainbows here! It’s made washing the car regularly quite difficult. But I did spend some time in the UK some years back and I agree on average our weather is much nicer.

To be fair the last couple of years we have good summers but we do get more than our fair share of rain.

We usually get lovely spring weather in the UK (April\May) and rubbish summers but the last year and this the spring has been pants (English expression) and last summer was roasting. Let’s hope we get a decent summer after this wash out spring!

Not sure it is a problem with the tyres. Weight distribution and the small engine mean there is not much weight over the front wheels for a FWD car.
Are they also 18-inch 225/55/18 Pirelli P Zero All Season tyres?

(with plant code number 193, manufactured at their plant in Slatina, Romania)

Thanks!

No. 245/45R19 "summer" tyres.

All-season tyres not a factory option for the X1 in the UK.

does your X1 have a mild hybrid engine? if so, perhaps the increased torque is a bit much for the tires to handle? not that it's a bad thing... here in the US, we are have no choice of engines... the only one offered is the all-wheel-drive xDrive28i with 241hp(?).

I inadvertently floored my gas pedal all the way when the light changed from red to green this morning. I was humming to my favorite music and it was 6am with no other cars on the road.

It was raining. I watched as the rev went up to 6000rpm. No tire slip on my Pirelli P Zero All Season.

My first thought was "oh wow... this puppy is faster than I expected! how do I activate the launch control to make it even faster?"....

then I immediately remembered that I only had less than 300 miles on it and should not be driving like that during the break-in period.
