Drivers wiper blade doesn't clean to the bottom
I've had my 2024 28i for about 2 weeks now and had it out in the rain for the first time today. I find the drivers wiper blade doesn't clean the lower around 5" of the window yet the blade passes it. Anyone else have this problem?
I took a look when I got home and a) the blade is very heavy and b) it doesn't contact the windshield in the piece that is closest to the drivers side door so I see WHY it doesn't clean. Just trying to see if this is a bad blade or a common problem... |

I have a similar issue with the rear wiper. But my fronts are fine.

Following up on this. I was at the parts department today in my dealer ordering a trunk mat and figured I'd get a new wiper blade and just replace it. Yeah, no. Wiper blades are only sold as a pair and it was $90 CDN for the 2 front ones (plus tax). I think they are gold plated!
ANYWAY, the parts guy did mention to me that things like this are covered for the first 2000 kms as an 'adjustment period' and had me talk to a service advisor. 30 mins later, I had 2 new wiper blades and it now looks correct and actually touches the windscreen. Interestingly, the tech said it looked like it had been damaged by a human so possibly some joker on the while the car was on the lot? Anyway, it was like that when I picked it up but didn't notice until it rained. Thanks to those who responded here and told me this was not normal |
