I wonder how many more things I still don't know about my X1. Will test the rear camera washer tomorrow.(driving to NYC in the morning)

Put the car in reverse to activate the camera, then wash and wipe the rear windows. You’ll see the water spray the camera lens. It’s a great feature! But annoying that it always activates with washer fluid for rear window (especially when you have a clean car)

The rear end looks totally out of place and the ;3/4 side on rear view still looks wrong, could be a Renault. I saw one in the flesh at my local BMW dealer on Saturday and it didn’t change my mind, definitely wouldn’t chop my X1 in for one.
Thr rear view camera washer is really useful when the car is dirty, if it’s mostly clean I still tend to wipe it with my finger when parking up back at home… |

What looked odd to me on the trunk was the black framing of BMW roundel. Not sure why it is that thick instead of just the roundel. (as its done on the hood)

so I finally saw rear camera washer nozzle in action this morning.
unfortunately, my neighbor was just walking her dog on the sidewalk by my driveway. the stupid beagle saw the washer spray and ran towards it. I didn't realize it until I suddenly saw a huge dog face on the screen and my neighbor screamed. The silly dog tried to attack the washer nozzle. |

the dog was not that big, so he only managed to reach the bumper and his paws barely touched the license plate. I just went into the garage and looked. There does not appear to be any scratches. that reminds me of a reddit thread that I read a few months ago. Some guy's own dog chewed up the front bumper of his Mercedes. https://www.reddit.com/r/Insurance/c...d_of_claim_is/ |

On a side note, that dog that chewed up the bumper must’ve been one giant beast! |

I had a 15 pound Jack Russell mix that destroyed my XBox 360 down to the circuit boards. The next day he chewed through the solid wood leg of my cabinet. Size ain’t everything. Loved that dog, but he was a terror when he was bored!

bought my niece when the PS5 came out a couple years ago. Gave it to her while she was at my house. the new console attracted my cat's attention. when we were concentrating on the game, he nonchalantly jumped on the cabinet, as he was trying to catch a glimpse of the birds outside the window. then he suddenly turned around and knocked the brand-spanking-new PS5 off. It fell about 3 feet to the floor and never started back up again. Fortunately, I bought the extended warranty with accidental damage. Got a free replacement new PS5 a week later. Asurion only wanted us to ship back the damaged PS5 by itself and we got to keep the rest of the accessories and controller. (although I had the replacement PS5 shipped directly to my niece's college dorm directly to prevent my cat from doing anything to it)
