Anyone thinking about an X2?
Surprised that the pricing is almost the same as the X1 28i. And according to Autogefuhl it is 8 inches longer than the last X2 and 2 inches longer than the current X1. Storage behind the rear seat is 560 liters, 90 more than the previous version's 470 liters. I think the new X2 looks a little weird(distinctive?) from behind but really cool from the side and front.

The wife. Deposited and sold them her '22 GLA 250 (in escrow). For what it is, she's happy, and I'm good as long as it has similar/Better tech than my '23 X4

2AT, as usual, is not available here in the US.. but I took a ride in one when I was overseas last year. When I finally got my X1 this year, I was shocked how the interiors of the 2AT and X1 were nearly identical. |

why is that necessary? is it to ensure that she buys the X2 from them?(instead of taking the cash and going to another BMW dealer?) I ordered a 530i. Not expecting it until March 2024. However, I plan to sell the dealer my current 2015 Mercedes E350 because they offered me a good price.($17,000, which is a lot more than what I can expect by selling privately, due to extremely high mileage of 160,000 and multiple dings/dents) I'm probably going to give them the car now because who know what they will give me 4 months from now. |

when I was tracking the ship that was carrying my X1 from Germany back in April, that car carrier shipped anchored off Chesapeake for 2 days. I anxiously watched and wondered why it wasn't moving. It was so close to shore that I was able to see the ship on the Virginia Beach boardwalk live webcam feeds! It eventually moved and sailed up the Bay and arrived at Baltimore the next morning. If your X1 M35i is already on the way, you may want to track it so you can go out to the beach and wave at them! The best ship tracking website that I found was this one: https://www.fleetmon.com/ (get the ship name from your BMW salesman) |

I'll stick with my X1 m35i... if it ever comes.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder of course, but the body form hasn't grown on me. The slab sides do not have the energy of the X1. The X1's arrow shape trailing the front wheel well is quite striking and denotes motion. Being relatively flat, the X2's flanks make the green house seem to sit too high above the belt line, there is less play of light across these surfaces as well which makes it seem unfinished to me. It's longer yet it has less storage. Greenhouse is awkward past the C pillar, except for the Hofmeister kink, which is OK but the break at the rear glass does not create a nice flowing line from nose to tail. Just look at the silhouette. I wonder if the same designer who made the handsome X1, did this as well or was it restyled by another? Pretty bad rear visibility especially with the larger m35i lower spoiler. I like the X1 tail lights much better, these double darts seem clumsy and kinda off brand. The rest of the rear is another boring slab. In my opinion this car is supposed to be beautiful, a shooting brake and it's not. If it's not going to be practical make it sexy. Not sure what I think of the rope light on the grill, it's not a real pretty shape so I probably wouldn't call attention to it. No rear wiper, fixed sunroof and no wood trim option... Other than that, I like it. |

we're on the fence about getting an iX2, i love our X1, but they gave me an older (2020-2022) X2 for a loaner while they repair the warranty stuff, which i absolutely hate driving.
If it drives anything like the current X2, then def hard pass, I will end up going for something in the Toyota family then. |

That same X2 was still sitting in the same spot inside the showroom when I went back 6 months later(end of April) to take delivery of my new X1. I asked my salesman why they didn't just use it as a loaner. He said that they already had enough loaners. When I went back there for the first oil change at 1,000 miles, it was finally gone. The salesman said they sold it for almost US$7000 off the MSRP. Some lady bought it for her 16-year-old high school kid who just got his driver's license. My first thought was: "need a time machine to go back in time and convince my parents not to get me that new Honda Civic Wagon when I was in high school because the only person liked it was Kathy..." ( (Kathy was my first girlfriend in high school and my parents like her more than me... always telling her "wish we had a daughter like you, instead of a son" and they really meant it. because after high school, we kind of broke up, yet my parents continued to hang out and even went on vacation with her, without me, while I was away at college) (it's this one below... yes, I am that old ) |

As recently as October, I had no idea that the Countryman and the X1 shared anything, other than the same parent company. The Countryman is nothing like the X1. Strangely, when I was narrowing down my list last year, the Countryman was #3 on my list. (X1 being #1) It wasn't until January this year that I learned that they were based on the same platform, after watching a YouTube video about them. |

I quite like it overall, can certainly see the appeal but won’t be getting one myself, the wife is enjoying her PHEV X1 which ironically won’t be available on the X2.
