To be fair, I wasn't expecting the blue accent. However, I agree it looks OK with the white. Not sure how to work out whether it's standard or not! Willing to take a look if anyone can point me in the right direction...

This is ours.
Blue accent looks like model year specific update since the base & x-line versions have it in the configurator now as well.

Interestingly the base EV eDrive20 comes with a completely different kidney.

in the US, we usually leave the dealership with handwritten paper temporary license plates. in my case, I drove my X1 for a little over a month before my metal license plates arrived in the post. I only got the rear plate since my state does not use front plates.

(below is an example, not my state, but basically the same style handwritten temp plate)

A new number plate is allocated when the car is registered an put on the car before pick up. That then stays with the car for its full life unless you put a private plate on which you have to purchase on selling the car you can then transfer the private plate to your new car and you pay an £80 transfer fee.

In Austria, the blue accent comes standard, but as soon as you opt for X-Line or M Sport, this is deleted. You can then manually add it back instead of the default option for the two trims.

That was kinda my understanding too...in that I thought the blue accent was present on the X-Line, but deleted on the M Sport. However, it seems my M Sport has them (front kidney and rear diffuser). No idea why, not that I'm overly worried

Yeah, typically the blue accent is automatically deleted when selecting M Sport, but when configuring the options, there is an option to re-instate them. It might have beeen that you re-selected this option

My 30e PHEV M Sport has the blue accent on the badges. I read somewhere that the blue accent was standard on the PHEV models, irrespective of trim level. But then BMW keep changing specs😳.

The blue on the badge cannot be changed on PHEV or EV models. It’s the kidney grille and the rear “spoiler” section that have optional blue trims

you will love it! One of the first two X1 that I saw with my own eyes was storm bay. The other was frozen grey. (however, I ended up with a different color, take a guess)

did you not see the color or test drive it before you placed your order?

Dude I love it, wasn’t sure when I first ordered but I’m very very happy.

I have the wheels going on this weekend and it’ll look even nicer with the bronze wheels.
