Alarm trigger and exterior cameras
My U11 X1 has interior camera and the 4 external cameras.
Due to GPDR in my country remote viewing/recording is not possible on the external cameras. That’s possible only in internal camera. However BMW states that in case the alarm triggers, videos will be sent from internal but also external cameras to review. Today my alarm triggered and I guess the front sun protection that I left got somehow dropped. (I haven’t got to the car yet because I am away) I did get the notifications that recordings are available for external and internal cameras, however the recordings were only for the interior camera. Could be the case that if only internal movement is detected only the internal camera is recording the event? Will have to make some more tests. |

Interesting. Different regulations through EU. Ιn Greece the internal camera is not available either remotely. I wish I had known this before purchasing.
In a similar case, with family accidentally locked for a few seconds in the car, I also got record only by the internal camera. Last edited by DiS; 08-14-2024 at 05:43 AM.. |

Just posted to update my first post, when I didnt have access to the internal camera. External cameras restriction seems more obvious due to gdpr. Can you record manually from the external cameras ? Could you upload a screenshot from the app with the external option ? In my app there is not such an option for external cameras. |
