Very strange behaviour with id9 today… my wife was driving the X1 and I was trying to activate a Digital Premium subscription (my 6 month trial had expired and deleted the Spotify app, but that’s for another rant &#128545. With my phone connected via Bluetooth, every time I focused an input field on the form via the MyBMW app, the car flashed up that it was trying to call my mobile… EVERY TIME!! It was only for a second or two and would go back the home page but, still.

Every day, it’s something different with this car. It’s the gift that keep giving 🤣

Mine has just expire too but via the car store it offered me a three month trial - so I clicked it and the app says it’s now valid for another three months.

I just got mine last week and it has Drive Recorder. Same i9 11/2023.25 version and in fact same/cloned configuration/car as the one of Mzlatanov, just built few weeks later.

I guess Maneuver saves and Remote Control via the app (available in the guide) will be delivered via an update in the future.

Android Auto connection issues are still there - it may work fine for a couple of days and then it stops and needs volume button long-press restart. It's also quite a bit more battery hungry, compared to my other cars with wireless AA. I found that this part can be fixed by decreasing the resolution of AA to 1280*720. This can be done by 1/click many times version in AA settings (activates AA Dev options), 2/click the 3 dots and change it in Dev options.

Also no problems besides the long loading after start. It is car for SK market first one with id9. The only problem i see is missing driver recorder, no availability od steering wheel heating Subscription, and lack of configuration for Home screen in id9. Dont get why the tiles cannot be changed and adapted.

i dont believe anyone has the option to move the tiles, I asked the genius who help set up my car, and he said that the tiles are hard coded in that way and cannot be arranged in any other way.

They are picking up the car on Wednesday to have it uploaded into the car to hopefully fix the issue, but the master tech there thinks this issue will need a hardware upgrade.

You're in the states correct? My dealer said no update is available and I can't seem to find/get access to the 11/2023 update. My car is a 2024 M35i and was delivered with the 07/2023.72 software.

Occasionally, my car play will change the menu side, I think its called driver position. it sorts itself out next time I get back in the car. Not a massive problem, but slightly annoying. Anyone else had this?

Seems that BMW has announced that ID9 is going to get a better voice assistant after a tie up with Amazon using AI/LLM technology using the manual to help understand what customers are asking for. Not sure why this isn’t a thing already but it’s soooo bad I can see why it needs improvements.

I get this issue all the time. I find it very annoying tbh.

Got the car back, no mention of an update, they came back and said that it now needs a new head unit, which is on back order with no ETA.

I hate that I can't get to my seat settings if the system isn't booted up all the way. I love that I can play games/watch tv now but I can't do anything until it's booted up! I noticed that if I drive off without waiting for it to boot up it starts tweaking out and flashes between the profile selection screen and the loading screen until I reset the system.

Yes in states, they definitely updated to 11.2023 version recently, I noticed when I was fiddling around settings.

The updates in all honesty aren’t fixing anything I can notice, so not sure there’s a point in getting it done with urgency.

Finally getting ready to pickup our vehicle this weekend. What's the latest version of ID9 available? Just want to make sure the latest version is installed when picking up. Is it 11.2023?

Is there somewhere online that shows the latest version available?

11.2023.30 is the latest that I am aware of. Let us know if CarPlay or AA work on your vehicle. Ours started dropping out about 2 blocks from the dealer and did the same consistently every time driving the car.

That's exactly what happened to me! I was so confused. Everything started up quickly, no glitches at all, then as soon as I left, it started acting weird and glitching out

I’m on 07/2023 version and the built in Spotify app stutters with music once or twice every track which is annoying. Anyone else had this?

The whole system has also locked up once and the reset option didn’t work

That’s interesting. I have not. The built in Spotify app is the only thing that seems to work consistently

I have the M35i in Australia and it has ID9. CarPlay works but doesn’t automatically connect each time you get in the car. Requires about 5 presses before it works. I think it’s a WiFi issue - the car WiFi needs to be connected to phone to allow CarPlay to work. I watch the connection process and the car WiFi is not reliable. Anyone seen similar?

I've had a similar issue with iDrive 7 on a 2020 X5. It seems to occur at random. CarPlay does not work until I manually connect my iPhone to the car Wifi. Other times it connects automatically.
