The US iX1 has been canceled, literally days or weeks before the official model intro.

Already?

What the fuck is BMW doing lol, first M3 touring not coming (keep in mind both E60 and F10 gen M5s only came in manual to the US), and now this?

Is this their way of getting back at the consumer for not buying more X2 and X4?

Odd one because I thought it would have done very well overall.

If this is true, BMW have literally shot themselves in the foot. That vehicle would sell so well in the US

Man, first no ix3 in US now no ix1 either. I was looking to purchase 2. Now I guess I have to look elsewhere. Maybe EQB.

I really wonder what BMW marketing team is trying to soup up in the U.S.?
Are they trying to put more focus on X3 and X5 as PHEV available in the U.S. and push EV for customers wanting more EV range?
They might be trying to go for anchoring effect, which saddens me

Edit: ok X5 is the only PHEV SUV in U.S. from BMW. X3 PHEV isn't avail in U.S.

So stupid. Would have sold like hotcakes here. We needed it—with. EQB coming. And i4/iX levels so low

Didn't the X3 PHEV get removed from US market for MY22? Are they going to bring it back for MY23?

This is a complete joke. BMW is one of the few OEM's that has the flexibility to efficiently modify their product line and make appealing EV's but they're sabotaging themselves. When the Model Y is selling like hot cakes they need something on the market. Why wouldn't they want to go through with this?

It's either because it would sell like hot cakes and they couldn't make enough of them.

Or it's because it wouldn't sell at all in the US because the range is too low and BEV uptake is much lower than in other markets.

Yeah I don't get this considering the U.S. is BMW's second biggest market and the interest in electronic powered vehicles is jumping off like crazy here.

It should be getting similar range to something like the Genesis GV60 which is going to sell like hot cakes here in the US.

I would look at a GV60 except the closest dealer is 1.5 hours away and I have a policy of not buying cars without a dealer within 30 minutes that can service it.

Was it officially stated that it was coming to the U.S. market? I know it was hinted that it might not come even before the official release but the press release reads primarily like a European car.
