will BMW lower Driving Assistance Plus from $950 to $500?(like when ordered with X1)

I can't remember where I read this, but it seems like for model year 2024 in the US, the Driving Assistance Plus can be ordered with the US X1. The cost is only USD$500? (previously the only thing that can be ordered with the US X1 was the $1700 Driving Assistance Pro with more feature... which was not available when I ordered my X1 last year and not available in the Connected store after vehicle purchase)

I'm currently on the 3-month free trial for the Plus. After the trial ends, it's a one-time $950 or a pay monthly/yearly(?). I don't plan to continue because I think $950 is too much. However, what are the chances that BMW will lower it to the same $500 price for people who order it with the X1? Or even $550 is better $950.

BMW has some Black Friday deals on connected drive options in the past of between 10-20%. I added some functions on the wife’s old X1 for example.

apparently it's also $500 for the Driving Assistant Plus the X1 M35i, if ordered at the same time as the vehicle...

sure hope BMW wises up and lower the $950 one-time subscription to $500(or even $600) for those of us who are interested in buying now.

It's a £1200 option for Driving Assistance Plus in the UK, price gouging at its very best. We have tried it with the 3 months trial but there is absolutely no way we would pay to enable it at that price in any way shape or form. Why BMW thinks someone will pay that when the full extra features would have been available for £1500 when new is beyond me.

The extra kit will sit there dormant until the next owner might want to enable it simple as that.
