Jb4 installed

Installed the jb4 yesterday and everything is perfect. The install was honestly pretty hard as there are absolutely no directions for our x1’s. If you have any install questions please reach out!

How’s it run? Does it help with the lag during hard acceleration?

Also does it map anything in the transmission or is it strictly engine mapping?

Asking because I personally am not crazy about the transmission mapping and tuning from factory, it’s choppy.

Curious to know your thoughts and how difficult install was.

Also have you noticed any faults since install?

runs very smoothly for me. I opted in on the bluetooth connect kit and id say that it’s a must. There is still turbo lag, but I can definitely notice a little less. Honestly, to the average person they really can’t tell the difference with the jb4, the acceleration doesn’t feel any crazier, but it really does work.
best 0-60 before jb4 was 5.1
best 0-60 with jb4 (map 3) 4.7
Install was challenging but if you know what you’re doing it should take around an hour.
Lmk if you have any other questions

Also, i think it’s just engine mapping. From the 2 days i’ve ran the jb4, it seems like the transmission is too slow for the car.

That’s how I feel about the oem mapping in general, there’s a lot of hesitation or choppy kicking down into gear.
