Actually a very nice looking BMW, other than the ipad for a dash. But it proves BMW can still make a nice looking car if they really want to.

Hypothesizing base price based on the other BMW analogs:

430i - $45,200
i4 - $55,400 (+23%)

X5 - $60,600
X7 - $74,900
Average = $67,750
iX - $83,200 (+23%)

X1 - $35,400
iX1 - $43,542 expected based on 23% price increase of electric vs. its non-EV counterpart (probably a bit closer to $45,000 considering the non-EV X1 will increase in price slightly)

The catch is the specs for this unreleased EV is average at best. Even compared to EV's release years ago.

BMW has to price this sub $45k or it simply won't sell to the EV crowd. 64.7kwh battery pack and 130kw peak charging is...meh.

But it does look good and will have BMW fit/finish.

I agree, msrp should come in between $40k-$45k. It's specs and the current EV offerings basically dictates it's price.

There’s another thread that lists the MSRPs for 2023 models, which I assume this is. That’s showing the xDrive 28i model at $38,600 for the US. Leads me to believe the EV version will be around $45K starting.

I believe this latest IX1 and X1 is designed by Calvin Luk. He also designed the last gen X1 (and LCI), X3 (G01) and latest Z4. BMW should promote him to head the entire design team.

Very good actually, on par with the G20 interior. You can expect the same interior as the 2AT, from what I remember it could be a copy of it. Same new M Sport steering wheel so that's really nice 👍

Interesting to see is that Cape York Green will be a new color as also to be used on the XM. Curious to see it with M Sport guise.

Hopefully they won't completely blow it like they did when they made the iX3 rear wheel drive only. That may have been their worst decision yet from a sales perspective.
