Has anyone had the arm straps come loose from the doors.

Last week I noticed when I opened the drivers door the arm straps were making a double clicking noise when the door was opened or closed.

When I looked at the strap the screw was finger loose.

BMW said they needed a full day to do diognostics on it.

I said really, are you taking the p*** then stated it would cost £186 for the first hours work and would be charable if it was deemed wear and tear (on a 6 month old car).

Anyway complained yesterday when dropped off for the lights and they checked all the arm straps.

As anyone else experienced the arm strap as asked BMW if maybe the door was too heavy, got the reply that this was an isolated incident

I'm not sure what to tell you, mine is solid as a rock. Even skinned my knee on the edge of it the other day trying to keep it from slamming shut from a freak gust of wind.
