I haven’t seen it but I think there was a stop sale on some for a problem for the seat belts.

To be honest I don’t know how long it will take, I suppose it depends if any parts are needed and if so the availability.

I have had this error message twice.

The first time there was a faulty connection to the side airbag in the drivers seat. Airbag replaced. Issue sorted.

Then I had exactly the same error message which was caused by the front seat losing calibration. Because the airbag deploys differently depending on seat position it, and it didn't know the seat position, the airbag turns off and you get that warning. Seat recalibrated by BMW and it has been fine since.

Had a call from BMW and the fault is the drivers side airbag.

Just to inform all, the malfunction was the drivers seat airbag.

Took a few days to sort as the dealership had to order parts
