Light Under Center Console

Hey guys, I admit it, I’m stumped. I have looked in the owners manual and can’t find anything about how to turn off the white light beneath the center console. It shines down onto the open “storage” area where things can fly round on a sharp turn.

Anyone know how to shut this light off? I think, for me at least, it’s unnecessary.

Forgot to mention, I have a U.S. spec X1.

Not sure if you can turn it off without turning off the ambient lighting altogether, but mine is the same color as whatever I select for the dash.

Stick a blob of bluTack over the LED. That'll sort it

Hmmm. My ambient light is set to green, but the light under the console is white …so I dunno

If you go into the Interior Lighting - Ambience submenu, the Background slider controls the lighting for the footwells, wireless charger surround, console lighting, and Harmon Kardon speaker grills - but not individually.

you can't individually turn off a single light in the ambient lighting. you might be able to turn all the ambient lighting off tho. you can definitely dim it
