Once the car is at the dealers in the UK I don't see a problem with the dealer then fitting them providing the parts are available (and the cost reasonable). Of course, they will not be covered by the manufacturers warranty since they were not factory fitted.

Did anyone manage to find the part number for the door sills? If they're not on mine when it arrives I'll order some if I can't blag the dealership into getting them on my behalf.

If anyone is still considering purchasing door sills, this site has a lowish price on them compared to others. However, shipping kills the deal especially if you're near a dealer where you can pickup in person.

Hello, ordered iX1 eDrive20 M-Sport at October 5th. Delivered November 22nd. No door sills too and no interior camera. Those two were not listed on the web site configurator, when I asked the dealer, they showed me that on their configurator (which is different) the options were not ticked.

No Glove box light either.

Congrats on what i think is the fastest delivery of an X1 so far!!!

The interior camera is an option and does not come standard. You have to dig through all the options on the website to find the camera. Some options do not pop up unless you search for it via the keyword search function.
For example: in Austria, if you choose M Sport seats, the convenience package is removed, which removes the HK speakers, and unless you specifically type “Harman Kardon” in the search field, this option does not come up to select.


Door sills are no longer available (even as an option) for all MY24 X1 (bmw Might bring them back at a later date, but as of now, they’re not available to purchase during the ordering process)

the good news is that the M doorsills are about $152 for the pair... if the dealer isn't willing to help correct the possible mistake by BMW, it's not that expensive to put them on. I looked at the part prices because I wanted to know the replacement cost if I scratched the doorsills.

oh, wait... when my X1 arrived at the dealership in April the doorsills were covered by protective tape.... any chance that the M doorsills are still covered?

I know this is ages old, but do anyone knows if the sills are adhesive ready? I mean do they need additional adhesive material or they are like stickers when ordered?

I believe they come with adhesive already applied on the back. If not, 3M VHB thin tape works great for attaching trim pieces to cars.

Its great stuff to just have around. I used it on my e90 carbon rear spoiler, to keep a phone mount stuck to the dash in another car, and most recently to attach a front lip on my ZHP
