Hi Everyone,

I wanted to put together a quick DIY for the installation of a MirrorTap and BlendMount to get my radar and dash cam installed in my new X1 for those who might be interested. I have been running BlendMounts and Mirror taps in all my cars for over 10 years and have had nothing but positive experiences. Their prices may be a bit high but their stuff is great quality and they stand behind it with great customer service and support. BlendMount - Mount that attaches to the stem of the rearview mirror. They make mounts for Dashcams, Radar Detectors, etc.

MirrorTap - Taps into the power from the rearview mirror without needing to run wires to the fuse box, or anywhere too far.

**NOTE: When purchasing, make sure you use the selector on their website in order to find the kit the fits your vehicle and radar detector, as these vary.**

**NOTE: The wiring notes in the video are specific to my car. In theory other similar or same models SHOULD be the same. I have seen other models with totally different wiring and wiring colors, so be cautious when doing these MirrorTap installations.**

whenever I put a new transponder on a new car, I always buy a new black transponder cover immediately. just prefer to keep everything unnecessarily stealthy.
