Hey guys,

I'm new to this forum.

I ordered an X1 xDrive25e in July 2023 and the estimation was to get it in April 2024. However, now I'm being told the whole X1 production line in Europe is stopped because of a part that is lacking production and for which there is no real estimate but the best-case scenario is July 2024. Does anyone know what is happening? What is missing in the production line?

Not heard of anything, can you ask the BMW genius what the delay is if they offer it, we have a chat service in the UK that gets you to the genius from the website. Offered good information updates way better than a dealer did for us.

Ordered my X1 30e in June 2023 and arrived late Feb 2024 - my understanding was that the electric models took the most build slots. Also may depend on how many extra options you add?.

I hassled my dealer and got them offering cancelled orders or demos instead at lower prices .... worth asking.

A friend of mine owns a car transport business and ships a lot of BMW's here in Germany. A lot of them are still waiting on computer chips coming from China to be installed or certain colors to be available, such as Frozen Grey. He said more and more are being finished. German and American market has priority over Portugal sadly. Hope you get yours soon.

I placed an order for a X1 ICE on November 2023 with delivery planned for September 2024 but then it was anticipated for June 2024.

I'm in Greece, ordered my 30e PHEV early November 2023 with an estimated delivery summer 2024. No updates from my dealer yet though.

I'm from Holland. Ordered my X1 30e (PHEV) 2 weeks ago (mid-march 2024). Production is scheduled for Week 24 (June 2024) delivery is anticipated around week 28 (July 2024).

Belgium here. Ordered the X1 25e in December 2022, and only now we got a possible arrival date of May 2024 due to delays as well. For us it appeared to mostly be the M-Sport package that caused a delay as well, as many M-sports are being shipped out.

Each market is being treated very very differently it seems. Germany and the US seem to come first, mostly, you can get a car to the US in months most of the time but they don't get any PHEV / EV models.

UK seems to be not far behind, we ordered a 25e in Feb last year and got it in May, so not too bad but again seems dealer dependant as some waited way longer than us.

Then the likes of France / Belgium and others for reasons unknown seem to have to wait a year or more for the same models. Maybe it's the profit / demand in the market that's driving it I don't know, certainly all markets via BMW are not treated equally.

I think USA and UK have different requirements for their markets. USA has an engine not available in Europe (28i) and different emissions regulations.

UK cars are RHD. They received ID9 in the first place, for example.

For all European countries the cars all the same. It's kind of a funnel if you know what I mean.

The US does have a simpler car, no MHT system for example agreed, but then that leads to more complaints on the drivability than other markets.

UK did have ID8 at first but it was the guinea pig of ID9 for some reason, which still has lots of issues unfortunately.

As for the EU, yeah agreed mostly the same but some markets seem to get more priority than others, one of those things I guess. Sometimes some manufactures supply lower models as a result of how many higher models a country / dealer sells, which could be a factor. No idea what or if that is happening with BMW though, a dealer might.

Seems not only Germany is favoured by the factory in EU.
We ordered an iX1 mid-February and are scheduled to receive it next week.
