The closest I came was the nite before I picked up my car, there was white X1 parked out in front of the dealer building. But I've never actually seen another '23 X1 on the road yet.

I don’t have one but I’ve seen two. One with Jersey plates at the garage door of a dealer next to route 309 on Sunday, a good day to go car browsing in PA. The other today, driving northbound as I was driving southbound on route 309 near Montgomeryville. One was white, the other black.

it just occurred to me that I must have seen at least two new X1 in the wild... except that I mistakenly thought that they were the X3 from a distance. in my mind, the size was a little large than the X1, but I just realized that the X3 and X1 look almost the size from many angles. Not to mention that the "X3" on the street previously had bigger grilles.(in fact, I remember thinking "hmmm... guess BMW updated the 2023 X3 with the bigger grille of the new X1?" as I was driving towards it. In additional, I also found out that the X3 does not come in the orange color, only the new X1 does.

the orange X1(which I misidentified as X3) that I saw at least twice was driving around the Fort Lee / Edgewater area.(near Target or Whole Foods) Any chance that it's someone on this forum?

That must have been an X1 - I don't think you can currently get an X3 in orange. Not me tho....

speaking of orange X1, I love that color, but sadly it's cannot be ordered with the M package.

Utah orange will also go well for someone living in Utah because their license plate is Utah Orange.(not that I'm surprised)

Well maybe the stupid auto stop/start causes a bit of burn, but I just turn off the dang thing every time I get in the car

I’ve been getting in the habit of leaving mine on, and I’m really beginning to suspect it’s the throttle tuning that is the main issue. The motor turns on quickly, but throttle input is delayed mostly when I need to give it a fair bit of gas, if I ease on the gas instead it’s not bad. Likewise if I’m waiting to make a left turn with the engine on and mash the gas pedal to slip in between traffic the car hesitates and I almost get hit, but if I’ve got plenty of space and make the turn at a relaxed pace it’s fine. I’ve just been getting into the habit of flicking the transmission into sport shift when I need to make quick maneuvers.

Is this an issue for the ICE models or also the PHEV models?

Seems to mainly be an issue with the US/Canada 28i models, haven’t heard from many other ICE owners in the rest of the world

I was thinking more about this and was wondering if the DCT implementation is just not optimized well, but then that would be an issue with all of the ICE engines, not just those in North America.
