Digital Premium
My Digital Premium subscription has run out and now the speed cameras are not been notified in the HUD. I cannot see anything in the Digital Premium write up about speed/safety cameras being part of the subscription. Does anyone now anything about this?

KK do you still have an X1 or just hang around here to wind things up for giggles and border prevention? Genuine question?

That seems very odd to me as I presume you have the hardware in your car having had it with the Digital Premium Package. I wonder if it is peculiar to ID9 which I’m not too clued up on. Try contacting the connected drive team at BMW and see what they say.

I have contacted the connected drive team and they have confirmed that the safety camera information is only available as part of the Digital Premium package for iDrive 9. The separate £25 subscription is only for ID7 or 8.

I am not sure if BMW know what they are doing at times or the technical knowledge the customer support people actually have, I am sure that the speed cameras used to work initially in my June 2023 model without the Digital Premium Package, I have the Tech plus pack.
However the Connected Drive store will not allow me to download the Speed Camera package for £25 a year, which I would be happy to do. One advantage of losing the Digital Premium Package is that it appears to boot up quicker!! |

I assume then that you have ID8, which I didn’t think you could get the Digital Premium package.
As for the customer services I had a dig at them and asked them to stop reading from a script which didn’t go down well. |

My FREE Digital Premium expires first week of July. I understand in the USA a yearly subscription is $99 & 9.99 a month. I also had X1 built with the Premium Package. Beside from STOTIFY, which I just installed, I believe the Premium Package includes all other current features I would be interested in.
Anyone know if BMW plans to add other features apps within Digital Premium? If not, I don’t think I’d extend the subscription a month or a year. |
