I took my x1 to the dealer because I thought my active grille wasn’t functioning properly. I swear the drivers side closed. I’ve also seen photos of the x1 with it closed but mines been open 24/7 for several weeks now. Could y’all do me a favor and tell me if your drivers side vent is open/closed? They told me the drivers side is open all the time because that’s where the oil cooler is.

I don’t have a 28i but I do know that those side vents are always open. It’s the shutters on the front grille (nostrils) that open and close.

Yeah it is always open there is no active grill for that opening. I was confused by it too.
