No idea lol. I'll have to dig up the spec sheet when I can find it. All I know is it has M Sport, the Track Handling Package, and Convenience Package. Plus all the M Performance carbon bits and those dynamic wheel center caps. It was kind of an impulse lease, they gave me a decent rate and I had just killed the motor on my e90 the week prior. I really should have waited for that M240i in manual since I was going to be out of the country while it was in transit anyway lol.

this is from today's email. I see X1 listed in the list

BimmerCode for BMW and MINI 4.2 (13117) is ready to test on iOS.
What to Test:

Support for the following vehicles: X1 (U11), iX1 (U11 BEV), iX (I20), X7 LCI (G07), 7 Series (G70), i7 (G70 BEV), 2 Series Active Tourer (U06)

Please note that only the “Headunit“ and “Receiver Audio Module“ control units can be coded for these cars.

Yeah, F30 LCI, F40 and U11 all show individual tyre pressures, in psi, bar or kPa in iDrive, bar only in the My BMW app.

With coding the F30 LCI and F40 could also report tyre temperature.

That's good to hear. I just tried the latest production release of BimmerLink on the X1 and it couldn't connect using my E-Net adapter.

what are the chances of saying bye-bye to factory warranty when using coding on U11 or any other BMW?

Zero chance. Doesn't affect warranty in any way. Tuning your ECU on the other hand...

EDIT: unless you brick the vehicle and require BMW to reset everything...warranty not affected but they won't fix your vehicle for free

That said any code changes made will be wiped out either with any OTA or dealer update.

No, sorry I don't. Believe it's beta now for iOS but not 100% sure about that

Is that market/country specfic?

With regards to the key/remote fob buttons the Owner's Handbook for the UK market says:

"Hold down the button on the vehicle key until luggage compartment is closed."

Yes, in the US we aren't able to close the hatch with the remote. Which seems to be a BMW NA decision, since other makes can do this and isn't a US regulation.

I couldn't get it to work on the dealer demo X1 when I was playing with it, maybe there's a toggle in iDrive I haven't found yet?

It's crazy. Someone here broke into someone's home, and the homeowner got sued because the person cut himself on the broken window climbing in and suffered permanent nerve damage.

Funny, but a sad reality.

When Bimmercode releases support for the U11 platform, you MIGHT be able to code it.

I mean, it's not a dealbreaker for me, but it would be nice just in case. I imagine the only time I'd have the tailgate open is when I'm actually loading things in or out of it.

I was recently trapped in the rear tailgate of a 2022 Chrysler Pacifica(?) minivan that I rented at the airport. It was brand new with one renter before me.

It had a "close" button on the D pillar. I pressed it and back off a couple of feet. As soon as it started coming down, I was too dumb and got underneath to push the luggage strap of my suitcase in. I thought the tailgate would be smart enough to detect me when it hit my head. No, it didn't. I pushed up with both of my hands and the tailgate motor kept coming down. I pushed up really, really hard but was unable to fight off the liftgate motors.

Fortunately, when it finally stopped, the liftgate was on my butt/thigh area. But the motor continued to make the whirling sound. I reached over to the close button but it did nothing... presumably because its only function was to close. The Budget Car Rental guy came up and tried to reopen it by reaching up and touching the open button on the tailgate handle. That didn't work. He then told me to press the button on the key fob, which I had in my pocket. That did the trick and the liftgate opened back up again. I asked for a replacement vehicle because I wasn't sure if that was a malfunction of the sensors or by design. They gave me a Kia Carnival minivan.

If I wasn't 6'2" and still carrying lots of holiday pounds, I could have been injured...for example little kids could be seriously stuck by that stupid liftgate.

I have only myself to blame for getting caught by the Chrysler Pacifica's liftgate. Somehow I believed that it would have sensors or whatever when it sensed someone in the way.

If BMW really wants to protect themselves, they need to consider moving the rear tailgate button from the door to somewhere else, like the ceiling. With the button on the door, I was looking down and reaching for the button. In that position, it was hard for me to turn my head and see if anyone was under the liftgate as I was closing it. If it's on the ceiling, near the rearview mirror, at least it's easy to see if anyone is under the tailgate.
