2023 Orders and Builds

Might there be some stop build

going on for UK then. Most dealers have no idea when the build is gonna be.
If it's the ID9 atleast plug-in's shouldn't be having a problem, but it's mostly the same for every models.
The very reason I decided to go for 23i instead of 25e was dealer told me plug-ins have longer waiting period and with 23i our build would happen in March/April. But now it seems it's other way around.

Its 30e, changed it a few days after the order.

No, the ID9 is not coming for our country before November.

Well... our dealership manager was so sure that in March I will have the car.

But for them the most important thing is to sell the car no matter how long you will wait.

Most people are getting build date days after ordering and here its been almost 4 months. I'm getting tired of waiting just for build date.

Only if you have quota,if you dont you wait on the line..its a good thing you changed it 30e

Does anyone know when the status will change from 111 to 112
There are 5 weeks until estimated production date now

I placed order for X1 yesterday from dealer in SoCal.
They had allocation that was already in 111 status, so they assigned that to me.

I also got information from BMW Genius today that my car's scheduled production week is week 18 (first week of May), so the car is probably going to arrive mid June.

By the way, I do hope that it comes with IDrive 9.

It won't come with ID9 unless it's on the order. Seems the UK is the test market for ID9 and only Petrol / Diesel not PHEV or EV until later in the year.

Was thinking the same, have you pinged the genius to see what the latest status is. I'd expect anytime the car must go into 112 as the build date is getting close so they must have to firm up the date.

Fingers crossed thats the case anyway.

Told me to contact dealer
Genius claim they can only tell you what system says

Oh really how on did they not give you the existing estimated date at least? Going to leave it another week and ask again I think.

Did get an update last week and it was still w18 / May 1st build week so hadn't move but anything is possible with BMW these days.

That's great news, not long now, we are due wk18 so fingers crossed we don't move. Have had NOTHING from the dealer despite the assurances that 'I will keep you updated every few weeks', erm nope.

I was shocked...

Might ping the genius on Friday to see where it's up to.

My 18d Msport Storm Bay has now “locked” and brought forward to week 15 production with a delivery estimate of mid to late May.

Could be one of the first id9’s, will obvious update and post pics when it’s here.

Ooooh how exciting a few moves and order progressing!!

Just check the wifes order and its still 111 but not moved date or slipped so showing at w18 still so maybe in a few weeks it will move to 112 with any luck. Certainly seems there are a few more orders starting to appear and some moving forwards is great.

My wife got an e-mail from the dealer at the weekend about arranging collection and he would call after his holiday this week. Not checked today but maybe he has info that we don't or it's moved to 112 so he wants to make sure we have the pennies ready. Will check later in the week but seems positive.

Will check in a few days, suspect its just the dealer going I need money for the car in a month make sure its ready. She replied to his e-mail but as he is now off for a week see what happens when he gets back.

Still taking it as a positive for now, it's not moved backwards and I suspect like yours is still w18 and 111. We live in hope not far (ish) now.

I got a call from my dealer, unfortunately all the orders that was gonna build this month, they moved production to Next year. We are thinking of cancelling the order now. It's a mess.

We are now planning to go for a use X3 or a different model.
