SHITTT. I saw CNN post that a death was reported at his estate, but they didn't name names. I don't know why I assumed so easily that it was not him. Crap. Amazing guitar player. Was probably one of the best around. And by far the most underrated.

I'm not all that into TV and music, but I don't really recall seeing Prince listed as a great guitar player, and I thought he sounded great on guitar.

Prince was a surprisingly good guitarist. I've been playing 25 years but couldn't touch him. Much respect even though I wasn't a big fan. Rip.

I am in shock and disbelief...

I grew up on his music and still listen to it regularly. He is among the greatest: Singers, Performers, Writers the world has EVER known. The 80's ICON!!! He will be sorely missed in a world of lame ass music these days...

If you never saw him perform live you missed out big time. Unbelievably huge talent. As others have said...can't believe we lost both Bowie and Prince this year.

Maybe I should trade in my BMW for a little red corvette out of respect.
