In my book, the best remix of "Moments In Love" of AON was made by the Dutch DJ Ben Liebrand back in 1986. It starts off in a rather ordinary fashion but then blossoms gradually by throwing in layers of keys and all sorts of variations followed by a lush solo on synths with fingers rolling vividly over the keyboard. Excellent rework job with subtle hints to early AON tracks (sampled instruments). Allow yourself almost 9 minutes, sit back and listen to it in one shot - won't be a waste of time for connoisseurs. I know virtually the complete back catalogue of the AON, so to some extent I can compare tracks. The AON themselves - righteously - appreciated it that much when they received the tape a few years later, that they asked the guy in 1989 to make a remix of "Paranoimia".

And now back to the M2.

Yes you're right. If the car was $50k loaded, it might have made sense to get 90% performance for 80% of the price of the M4. That's not gonna happen and you know it.

no idea why you are still shopping here... you are in the wrong sportscar aisle. If the S55 and a CF roof are what you want then you should just get an M4.

Maybe they will make an M2 GTS or CSL however.... ?

what if they did make an M2 CSL with a turbo 4... either an S20 (n20) or an S48 (b48) Is that the car you really want them to make or are you stuck on the S55. I asked this same question of bradleyland who admitted that when he saw the bimmerpost poll on possible M2 powerplants he voted against a 4 cylinder variant and then was disappointed by the N55 and realized he perhaps wanted a 4 cylinder bespoke motor.

What's interesting is that the entire segment will be turbo 4s in due time. the Merc CLA45 already has.. the mitsu and Sti have been there awhile... Audi is of course a 5 cyl turbo... Nissan's Nismo 370 still has a 6.. and while this current Cayman has a 6 Porsche is also going to turbos..

I would say that it's fairly likely that if this M2 has a 6 cylinder.. it will be the last... I would expect a next generation M2 to definitely have a turbo 4 along with the next generation Cayman. As far as I am concerned.. BMW caved to customers in going with the N55.... choosing to change little from the 1M... as opposed to having the balls to build a kickass 4 cylinder S motor. Seems to me they should be able to build a 4 cyl twin turbo just like they made the S14 off a 6 cyl design..

Agreed. Man, the hype for this car is really building. I can tell at least there is a very large pool of people who are eagerly waiting the unveal. I was talking to my buddy who just got a brand new Cayman about it. I could get the Cayman for less than the M2, but I have a feeling it will be a special car and he agreed. I have high hopes for the M2 and I can't stop thinking about it. Especially when I'm a few glasses of wine deep, as I am currently. The M2 is like my dream girl. Not surprised.

It is hard at times not to buy an M3 (or Cayman GTS since the GT4 is not available or, what the hell, a Jaguar F-type manual coupe) and be done with it. Actually, that might be a mind-soothing strategy - pick up another car for a few years and reenter the M2 market when the hype dies down.

I wouldn't be getting too excited though....scott26 pretty much verified that it will be the same type of teasers as the 1M, which were just pro shot track videos of the camo'd car. More of BMW officially acknowledging the car than actually showing anything.
