Music controls in the instrument panel don't work anymore

Recently, I hopped into my car as usual, using my phone as the digital key, only to find all the car's menus suddenly in German! After switching the language back to English, I've noticed some quirks with my music controls in the instrument panel (the cockpit). The "Music" button on the steering wheel no longer brings up the menu, and I can't select songs from the built-in Spotify player using the scrollwheel like I used to. When I skip to the next song using the steering wheel, it works, but the song information doesn't appear on the panel anymore.

Has anyone experienced something similar or know of a way to "reset" the instrument panel to get it working properly again? I'd love to hear your thoughts!

Have you tried a reboot? Turn drive ready state on then press and hold the volume control wheel until it reboots it should take around 30-40 seconds.

Looks like you switched profile? Try to log in to your default account and also try a reset

This fixed the problem! I had done a full reboot before, but way back when I got the car; and had forgotten how to do it! Thank you so much!

When the car switched to German, I was on my own profile; it was the first thing I checked when it switched. There also is no other profile on the car anymore.

There is a possibility that your BMW ID didn't load as you weren't using your physical keys which have Driver Recognition function.
