WTF lost to a 350Z

Hey guys.... was on the freeway (57 in SoCal) today. i saw a blue 350Z that zoomed by me, cut me off and just floored it. There were other cars, and i was already going 90-100 so i didnt do anything.

Later I caught up with him, i was going 80, he signals i turn dtc off and shift to 3rd (auto) and floor it. the fucking Z takes off and in no time there's a few CL's between us

there was like 2 CL's when i hit 100 or 110 from 80 (shifted to 4th i believe at that point)

he waits for me we do the same, and he fucking takes off again. WTF happened?!! maybe i suck at driving, i've raced ///M cars and AMG's and even JDM cars before and did well, but this surprised me!
Maybe he was SC/TT/NOS or some shit?

other than flaming me and my driving, what other steps would you do to race? maybe im missing something

You'll do just as well as a 6mt if you just leave the car in DS and hit the dtc button once. He must've gone FI, that's the only way. He must've been happy though

come on our cars are not invincible!

I have a 20 year old car that can out run a stock 335i and some moded ones too. There will always be someone faster than you. But at least you know you're faster than over 95% of the people on the road, unless you go to the track!

hmmmm...my brother in-law has a 07 stillen supercharged 350z convertible and raced my friend with a 335i stock from a 30mph roll. 3 times he took the z and one point by 4 CL.

I would have though the supercharged z would woop up on the 335i

The only explaination is I guess my bro-inlaw sucks and shifts like a granny

The VQ engine(350z/G35) is tough. There's a forum member who TT'd his G35 and blew a corvette away. You look around and you'll find the cars with 500whp>.....plus you live in Cali, come on

here's some steps that will help...

im not saying they are. i have surprised a few cars, and one followed me, told me to pull over to talk about my car (SL65). But i know for a fact 350Z's and G35's are easy (i owned a G35 before this)

what surprised me is the guy had no license plate yet, and the car looked 100% stock. he doesnt even have wheels or exhaust or anything at all

When I was looking at a G35, there were dealers that would put S/C's and TT's on prior to delivery. Grubbs in Dallas would put in 1 of 5 different FI kits (have Nissan and Infiniti) and then send it anywhere in the country.

The new 350Z's have more HP than the old 350Z's. The fastest stock 350Z traps at 107 mph. That's faster than a stock 335i. So, from a roll, why is it hard to believe that a new 350Z, which weighs about 200 pounds less, and probably more aerodynamic couldn't be faster?

I think the dealer offered a limited warranty, through the dealer. Didn't do you any good if you couldn't get the car back to them. Definately voided the factory engine warranty.

Nissan makes some hella fast cars. My TITAN, from a digg, is quicker than my old e46 328i.
