Ran into Mr. 5 - The guy is a class act !!

Hey guys,

I'm a long time lurker, first time poster.. Currently driving an 04 G35 Coupe, and have an E90 335i on order for ED pickup (see my sig..)

What better way to make my first post than to tell you guys about Mr. 5
Most of you are familiar with his contributions on this board including his unbiased tests and dynos of all the major Piggy back mods on the market..
I am here to tell you about the guy in person though..

So I am filling up in Huntington Beach on Sunday, and this sick looking Titanium Silver E90 335i pulls up.. Started talking to the guy by commenting on how sweet his ride looks.. The CSL wheels are and for anyone who has Alum. trim, I strongly recommend the Alum. pedals that Mr. 5 has..
They look amazing especially with the Alum. Trim.

We ended up chit chatting for like half an hour.. I felt that I was talking to a legend.. When I asked if he goes on any boards and he's like yeah my screen name is Mr. 5 .. And I'm like NO WAY.. I've read so many of your posts.. It was awesome..

Anyway, seriously class act, very cool guy, down to earth, really knows his stuff, I would recommend anyone on here to listen to any advice this guys makes..

Hope to see you again man, maybe in a So Cal meet or something

Cheers

Even though I've never met him in person, I can tell he's a great guy. He even gave me his phone number so that I could call and ask him questions about my downpipe install!

I am not gay (not that there's anything wrong with that ) just because I have some nice things to say about Mr. 5
I guess it was weird in a good way to run into someone in person only to realize that you know this person through reading his posts for at least a year now..

He has the OEM Alum. pedals

congrats on the 335, a bunch of people here have come from the G35, myself included. I almost went for the ED thing since I'm going to England next year, but I couldn't wait, and the thought of paying for the lease for a month and not having the car was bumming me out. Let us know how it goes with that, and welcome!

Congratulations on your 335. I have met with others from this forum and they have become good friends. We get together occasionally and talk cars, install Procedes and other mods, or go driving, sometimes a little bit over the speed limit. Lots of fun. Most people could care less about what is very important to me.
