Camo'ed BMW M spotted in NJ

Driving home last night and spotted a lightly camo'ed BMW. Looks like an M, based on the exhaust and the side vents, but I'm not sure of the model. I was thinking it was an M2?

See on Garden State Parkway northbound near Forked River 8:50PM on 07/24/14.

What do you guys think? I know its not the greatest video, but I'm curious as to what it was.

I think Mt Laurel was testing a 228i M Sport. Could that be it? (I havent seen the video yet)

Based on the little I know, I don't think so. This assumption is purely based on the exhaust, which was dual/dual (4 tailpipes).

Edit: After looking at some spy photos, I think it was bigger than a 2... probably m4, but then why the camo?

Taillights are the wrong shape for a 2 series. Looks like an M4 based on the shape of the rear bumper/diffuser area. Not sure why it's camo'ed.

Was it 2dr or 4dr? Looks like an older test mule.

At the time, I thought it was a 2 door, but in the video, I think i can make out rear doors. Either way, it sounds like its probably just an older tester that they didn't pull the camo off...

probably an M3 or M4....at least that's what the taillights look like.

The rear bumper and exhaust design are different (...and the camo layout was a tad different on the F80's as well). It's probably an some other ///M variant. It wouldn't make sense for a camo'd F8X to still be running around considering the car has been in buyer's hands since early June. Then again, stranger things have happened. The tail lights are F8X tail lights, so maybe the GC guess was right??!!
