N54 just revs up and down

Hey so I went to reinstall my jb3 tonight and may have hooked it up wrong since it's a older one.. So I took it out and now when I start why car it just revs up and down quickly with the half power light on the dash.... Anybody know what's up with this? Thanks

Also I unhooked the battery to try and reset it and it still runs the same!

Revs between 1200-1500!

Haha I've had it out a few times.. Not sure how it happened this time anyways... The gas pedal does nothing now when the car is running.

Try resetting the DME, that worked for me with those symptoms

but how does the car run with no jb3?

It's a pnp it worked perfect before .... Only reason I took it cause I put new plugs in and it was still runnin shitty so I took jb3 out .... But once I cleared codes it was good.!
