Toronto backend flashers? PLEASE HELP
I am looking for a KNOWLEDGEABLE and EXPERIENCED person to backend flash my car. My understanding is that it does not use the VIN locked 'smarts' of the l required BT cable.
I'm would love this as a "friendly gesture" but also would understand if someone wants to make some cash for their time. Please PM me if you can help or can point me to someone who can. I want to flash to pump gas (94 only) and remove some codes. I dont know that much about it so i probably will learn a bit too. What i do know is thst buying a BT cable would kill my intercooler fund... |

^ why? The BT cable is sub 200 and the flash software and support is free. I have a jb4 already so a COBB is not needed. Anyone who has the BT cable can do this. I just don't want to buy a $200 cable if I don't need to.
COBB is an alternative if money wasn't an issue. But since I'd like to get an intercooler next season. For me; I need to start saving whatever I can. |

A proper FLASH tune for the DME is better than any "signal interceptor" |

Im selling my Cobb AP V2 mint condition looks brand new comes with cables, box and soft zipper case. Backend flash with Jb4 drivability sucks. Proper flash tune is where its at. Its a shame jb4 exists it devalues the perception of a real tune.
Feel free to make me a reasonable offer. |

I can flash your ECU, but the process is time consuming since modifications may be required for the JB4/flash to work correctly for your vehicle, and the initial read can take up to 2 hours.
If you're going to run pump gas only, then a backend flash isnt really needed... |

Could you elaborate on that? My understanding is that the backend flash essentially moved the piggyback tuning to the DME and that most people just keep their JB4 for gauges, codes and additional boost control.

Not all of it. Boost targets will be controlled by the JB4 unless the target is less than the DME, in which the boost target will flipflop between the piggy/dme, and can result in driveability issues.
Do some more reading on N54tech on how it works, or pay someone to do it for you. Also make sure your motor is in top shape before you begin pushing power with stacking. |

Boost targets will be fully controlled by the JB4 only with option 4/2 selected. No driveability issues once that is selected. |
