Transferring $500k from China to U.S.

Hi all,

I have a friend who is looking to transfer $500k from China to the U.S. in order to invest in an EB-5 investment program. China only allows him to transfer $20k USD per day and this would take over a month.

What would be the fastest way to transfer $500k from China to U.S.?

Get a friend who has an account in the US. Your friend can transfer him the funds to his China account. The rest I'm pretty sure you are smart enough to figure out.

His options are limited if he's only willing to put in $500k, but I'm sure he knows that already. There's a lot more flexibility when you increase the stake to $1M -

You would think someone with $500k to invest would have access to a lawyer or other agent who can handle something like this. But of course its always a good idea to ask strangers on a BMW forum.

Haha, spot on mate. Problem is that $500K is a small amount when investing in the US, so perhaps he doesn't?

after speaking with adobeee and giving him my social security number and some banking details, he is going to deposit the money into my account on Tuesday...

for my help, he is allowing me to keep $40,000 in my account...

can't wait for this completely smooth and effortless transaction to go through.....
