BMW Lock Picking

On Jalopnik this morning there was an article about a strange lock pick that is making the rounds on VW forums for internally cut keys. It's called a Turbo Decoder and I checked around and this same device is available for BMW locks. This won't allow someone to start the car but they can definitely grab your valuables without leaving a trace. Would this set off the alarm on the car?

Here is the original post from Jalopnik: http://jalopnik.com/this-strange-loc...out-1633407537

Here is a link to the Turbo Decoder for BMW's and it shows them opening an X6: http://turbodecoder.com/turbo-decode...ie-hu92-locks/

That looks WAY too simple.

Might have to go for the key hole cover from IND.

^^what if your fob battery dies? or car battery dies or malfunctions? I would imagine this would be some of the reasons

glad I never keep anything in my car, they can break in and still my floor mats if they want lol after all thats why I have insurance right

if people want to get into your car there going to get in with or with out that device.

Does look to easy. But if they really want to get into your car I don't think a keyhole delete is going to deter them if they already went out of their way to purchase this and stalk your car.

Yep, already have my keyhole delete from iND ready and waiting. This helps me justify spending the money since it's not just a cosmetic upgrade anymore.

Meh, the likelihood isn't so much that they bought this specifically for YOU, but a thief buying it for BMWs more broadly.

The ole "if they want in they'll get in" line - maybe so, but I'd rather make them resort to destructive entry, which at least leaves obvious signs you've been broken into.

So you want to have to repair your car on top of having your crap stolen? No thanks. I'm all for the keyhole cover, but not in order to push someone to resorting to damaging my baby.

Glad I live in NC and park in my garage. Cliche, but if someone wants to get in your car, they are going to find a way. Might as well make it easy on them and forego keyhole delete.

In a warped way, I prefer this over them smashing a window in. At least they don't cause any damage, and since I don't keep anything in the car anyway, at least they won't get anything out of it.

I just wonder if it would set off the alarm? If it does set it off there is another layer of protection, if not uhhhhh...
