Pleasant dealership surprise
As much as we complain about them, I have to give credit when they do good.
I had a week-long company seminar where my car sat outside for a very rainy week without being driven a couple months ago. The rotors got a bit rusty sitting there, and the pulsation from that never quite entirely went away. Could still feel it under light braking at high speeds - 75-80+. Had the car in for annual state inspection today, mentioned this very minor issue. They are putting new rotors and pads on under warranty! Which is awesome, as otherwise I would not have gotten them before the maintenance warranty runs out next summer. I only have 32K on the car, and it is all highway (and a manual) so tons of pad and rotor thickness left. Now let's hope they don't screw it up!

You're lucky. I have the same problem. Brakes squeak like crazy, you'd think there's a train coming to a stop. There's a weird stickiness. And they won't replace mine. I have extended warranty and maintenance.
I'm gonna go talk to them one last time, and if they don't agree, I'm going BMWNA route PS:close the other thread |

I go to the one in Stratham NH, and while I was under warranty they would fix just about anything I complained about. Now that Im not under warranty, I'm stuck with warped brakes |

I think the difference between our cases is that they were able to measure that there was a runout difference in the rotors. Ultimately the dealer has to prove to BMW that there really was a problem in order to get paid, so noises are tougher. I forget what the number was, it's on the receipt. Brakes feel great, got in some nice fast running 100mph traffic on 95N in Mass. today to give them a real test. Like buttah.

Good for you man!
When I come to a full stop and when I let the brake go to take off, the car jerks forward. I'm gonna try putting it in N as I stop to see if the problem is the AT. |

congrats. We have four dealers to choose from in the Greater Vancouver area and there are some which I wouldn't go to again, but I can only report the best about the two biggest (Brian Jessel & Auto West)
