Walnut blasting question

so i went and bought the harbor freight 20 lb media blaster, and gave it a go on a coffee stained thermos (no adapter, just let the shells call, ok, spray, out). holy hell does that thing unleash the shells fast. Just curious what pressure you guys set the blaster to. I am also worried that setting to a higher pressure might blow the valves open when i blast the intake? i have never messed with valves before so i have no feel for what kind of force it takes to open them. thanks for any help!

edit: also using the bavauto wand

You don't have to worry about blasting the valves open - not gonna happen.

Run your compressor at 90 psi. If you find a compressor that will move those valves, let me know. I need it!

Thanks guys. Did it yesterday with no problems (aside from my compressor dying after the second cylinder). Car runs nice and smooth now
