Prepare To Be PISSED The F*** Off! Cop Asks Driver for DL and Opens Fire!
I still can NOT comprehend the actions of this officer after watching this video several times??? Total disregard for human life and ZERO probable cause to use deadly force. Again... Prepare to be SICK!
Fortunately the victim survives. But 4 foking shots??? Really??? And notice the "just calm down bro, I have a ambulance on the way." Wooooooow.... By no means do I have ANY issues or beef with cops. I have several as close friends. I am certain they would be equally disgusted! Thoughts...

I am truly hoping justice is served. He has been swiftly fired and trial set:

I just forwarded to a Chicago police officer to see his reaction, but you are likely correct that he will be disgusted as well.

The largest issue is how quick cops are to shoot another human. It's just sickening. Also the cop fired on him when his hands were up in the air! This guy should be charged with attempted murder.

This just doesn't make sense as to why but at least the officer is getting charged.
This link has a few more specifics on it. http://www.rawstory.com/rs/2014/09/s...-into-his-car/ |

The guy was being stopped because of a seat belt violation on private property, the officer has no right on private property to enforce the seat belt issue. I believe this is where this whole thing will start any good lawyer will point out the fact the officer was interacting with guy because of seat belt on private property which lead to everything he did after that as violation of this guys rights, but most likely he will be found justified and protect under Qualified immunity.
EDIT Okay stand correct read the other article, glad to see they arrested this cop, do you want worry about being shot just for doing as the officer asked. Last edited by Maestro; 09-25-2014 at 02:51 PM.. |

This reminds me of a line from the great Eddie Murphy in Beverly Hills Cop:
"You guys don't nothing about nothing huh, They just give you a badge and a gun and you're On The Job!"

I don't usually accuse cops...but this is just wrong.
Dude came out of the car, and cop asks for his license. What is he supposed to do? Get in the car, close the door, roll down the window and hand him a license? I mean, dude kind of jumped into the car and scared the cop, but it wasn't anything cop didn't ask for. |

I'm glad this was captured on camera. This is very upsetting to watch. Glad they tossed him off the force in short order. Hopefully the judge lobs the book at this guy like a grenade.

As a minority, the unfortunate reality is we have to say the instructions were following while following the instructions.
"Officer, I'm going to reach into my car as you requested to get my license" I was pulled over recently for the first time in about 8 years because my license plate is on the left side of my bumper and the officer stated he couldn't see it. As my heart was pounding, I turned my car off, rolled down all my windows and put both hands on the steering wheel. I. was. scared. as. shit....but not guilty of anything. Sad day we live in. EDIT: I have a feeling if there was no video footage, it would be officer's story vs. victims story. We know who wins that case. |

1. Yea, no joke he was quick to pull the trigger. Its like they dont get that people die when you shoot them. He saw no weapon.
2. The guy did dive back into his car which could have been reaching for a weapon. You see a cop, dont dive in your car. Of course what happened was terrible, of course. But maybe.... Just maybbbeeee if you dive in your car, as a black man, with all these trigger happy cops. Theres a much higher chance of incidents happening. |

FwdFtl got it right
I could be wrong, but this guy doesn't strike me as the sadistic psycho kind .. he just exhibits extremely poor judgement. What was he expecting to happen? He will be opening fire every time black guy forget's he's black! If he is so suspicious, he should shout out the instructions from behind his car.. like throw the wallet on the ground and lie on the floor or something.. seriously this guy could not have been doing this for long. |
