UGH..to keep her or let her go.

So guys, i picked up this 328xi not long ago, maybe 4 months ago. However, my family has been talking about selling everything and moving down south. Im in college so id be going with. My mother (yes i said mother) owns an 07 shelby and just simply doesn't want the payment anymore when she goes there so she said she would be getting rid of it plus we have 7 car and only 3 drivers so it would be hard to get them down there. Im considering selling my 328, paying off her shelby and buying a cheap commuter also. Not sure what to do here guys so i decided to leave it to you guys

If you really like the car, you can get it hauled out there for about $500 (depending how far away you are)

Do whatever makes financial sense.

If you have to move and have to keep the shelby and have to get rid of all the other cars, then it makes sense.

I'm failing to understand why you'd buy another car if you have 7 to pick out of...

Basically you're asking us to help you decide between a Ford Mustang Shelby and a e90 LCI 328i xDrive...well, I say you keep the bimmer and get rid of the Shelby, but I might be a little biased

Sell everything that is not paid for. You own 7 cars but the '07 is still on a loan. Something's not right.

+ 1

Keep in mind, just because you're moving don't feel rushed to sell the 3 (or any of the cars) if you're not getting good offers. You always have the option of towing it down and then selling it another time.

that's normal...just because it's an older year car doesn't necessarily mean that they bought it before the other later model cars.

OP, if you really love this car, then why don't you sell the other cars? You mentioned you got 3 drivers with 7 cars...you can sell the others and keep yours.

My thoughts exactly. First world problems....

Here are some thoughts to help decide which car to keep:

-keep the car that has the most significance to you/your family. ie. story behind it or if it has memories.

-keep the car that makes you happy. ie. comfort? driving experience? power?

-keep the car that financially suits your lifestyle. being a student, i would just have a car that is already paid off.

-keep the car that has less maintenance required. Or is a easier DIY-er.

Forget the cars…if you're in college and out on your own why do you have to move?

Huh?
What do they say on the Shelby forum?
Sounds like the credit maybe stretched thin, but I'm in no position to analyze your finances as I don't know enough.
All I do know is I would never want 7 car loans. Only way that would be acceptable is if you have the cash for covering those loans out in securities positions or funds.

Yes, sorry if my post sounded judgmental it was not intended to be. I was simply asking for more info I probably could have been a little nicer about it.
