I'm curious if anyone is going to upgrade to the LUX 5.0 that wants to sell their previous version, or if anyone has already upgraded in the past and has a set laying around.

I'm very interested and have the money waiting.
I'd love it to be a local exchange but it doesn't need to be.

Well, I didn't really care about them that much before but now I'm going to do the e90 angel eye DRL now and I want them to brighter for the daytime.
I thought I'd get the LUX's now.

i don't mind selling my lux 4.0 to upgrade to the 5.0 but its just cold as fuck out there for me to take it out... maybe when it gets warmer!! =P

I just converted my angel eyes to be on all the time in my e90 so I'm really interested in making them brighter.

I think the upgrade from Lux 4 to 5 reuses the original unit, with MDS82 swapping out the LEDs.

I'll answer for Marc. For the upgrade, if you're not local, you will need to send him your original.

Mr. 5, why don't you just get the LUX 5.0? They are REALLY 40% brighter than the LUX 4.0. I would even say they are as bright as the e92/e93 DRL.

Trust me, they even put my Xenons to shame.

To be honest, I'm a little worried about the blueish rings.
I'm worried that I might be unhappy with the lux 5s and would rather buy something used so I could at least try out something to see if I like it.

Actually, I like the color of the stock angel eyes but I just wish they were brighter.

I need something brighter, not bluer.

It looks like they're pretty blue in this pic:

Like I said, it's hard to take pictures of it. But I know that nobody will regret getting the LUX 5.0.

I am 110% satisfied. And when the other members get theirs, I'm sure that they will say the same.

+1 The color in the above pic appears slightly blueish, but that is a false coloring. they are a pure white and match the stock xenon bulbs perfectly!
