Warm Wings

Only just noticed recently after parking up the front wings seem warm to the touch.

The front section just behind the indicator.

I assume its heat soak from a large engine?

I would suggest that they just feel a different temperature (aka: warm) because they are made of plastic and not metal so hence feel warmer relative to any metal panels you touch

Maybe I should have titled this hot wings to get you KFC lovers.

Noticed this again today its definitely heat soak in wings feel approx. 40 degrees. Warmer than bonnet but I suppose that has insulation/sound deadening.

Airflow from the rad pack might well be flowing over that area?

Must admit, my e92 (2009) wasn't an LCI and had plastic wings. I thought it was common across the e9x board?

E90 has metal wings, E92 always plastic.

My E92 wings are also much warmer than the metal doors after a long run, I would assume due to engine heat as air from the engine bay can easily access the wings' underside.
