Official 2014 Thanksgiving Thread

It's that time of year again to start talking about dead turkeys, mashed potatoes, trips, annoying relatives, and all the booze required to deal with said relatives.

I am curious to see what the plans are this month for the folks who lurk at the bottom of bimmerpost in O/T.

Trips? Staying a home? Going to Denny's by yourself to cry in to a glass of lukewarm coffee?

Also, every year as we engage in our National Turkey purge, we look to the President to pardon a turkey in a sick gladiator-style duel where we get to vote on which turkey will get to live and which one goes in the oven.

Celebrating next Saturday with the folks before they head down to FL for the winter. No plans for the wife & I on actual Thanksgiving. We might troll the neighbors for a free meal, but probably just TV Dinners for 2.

The wifey is working (time and a half, woot). I'll take the boys to the in-laws and she will meet us there later in the afternoon. My father in law usually has quite a collection of craft beers to pass the time. Turkey will be on the menu for sure.

Heading to the beach (Fla.)... Will get together with friends for fried turkey and fixings! And for the kids we also fry twinkies, snickers etc... Hell, this is the south, we fry everything! Needless to say we will be packing extra insulin for our diabetic son!!!

Thanksgiving? My wife and I were just at target shopping for an Xmas tree. I guess we'll just walk across the street to my sisters house and eat their food for thanksgiving.

Surf in the morning, which will provide the appetite, then beers, snacks and football. Then pull the turkey out of the smoker and prep the other dishes. Dinner around 4. Then a surf, turkey and beer induced hibernation. I love Thanksgiving!

My favorite Holiday out of all of them. 4 day weekend!!! Pumped!!!
At noon the GF & I heading over my Aunts/Uncles family time(9 people) for 1 oclock feast,drinking/comatose/ watching football.

At 3:30 depart and head over our friends house that she is hosting 20 people.
Cooking one turkey in the fryer and the other in the oven. drink/eat/comatose/ watch the 4 oclock game(GO EAGLES).

At 8 O'clock get a ride/or taxi to my buddies(11 people) place to eat/drink/comatose/watch the late football game....

F............me

last: anyone who goes shopping on T-day.......can go to hell IMHO
