Talking Before/After H&R Sport - F30 M Sport

I picked up some H&R Sport springs a few months back and finally got around to installing them at M Power Houston last weekend. I'm very happy with the ride height! I'm sure it'll settle out a bit lower but I'm very pleased with the outcome (for my own taste). I haven't experienced any rubbing thus far either. It looks and feels like it's much lower even though it's only about 0.6" of a drop. I'm waiting for it to settle in and get my balance before I push it hard to feel the allegedly improved handling. Here are some pictures! Only the first one is before the installation on factory M Sport suspension.

Have you hit your lip/splitter on anything yet? I considered getting a drop, but I have a lip also, and it already scrapes on some curbs.

I haven't had any issues apart from one incident where I came up on a pot hole that was unavoidable and scraped the bottom of the lip a bit. Nothing visible unless you go underneath the car so I guess that's good news. I'm really careful coming onto and off of my driveway and I take speed bumps sideways (no pun intended). It's a bit of a hassle if you have to deal with road obstructions frequently so bear that in mind before committing to it. This is not my daily driver anymore so I don't have a problem being extra careful 3/7 days of the week!

I actually would like to do that but I thought I would try it out with the OEM setup + springs first based on the recommendation of the salesman who sold me the springs. I was trying to order spacers along with the springs but he advised me to see how I like it this way because it may cause some rubbing since the drop will bring the curved sides of the wheel wells closer to the tires. I'll probably dive it a few hundred miles or so and see how I like it. I think I'll end up getting new wheels with the offsets that I like when my tires are due for replacement (probably pretty soon if you see them in the lifted pictures above). I'm still on the same ones that were on my car when it was delivered from Germany last May.

Thank you both! I completely agree! It's so much more captivating; I've run into like six people so far while attempting to walk away from my car without backpedaling and staring at it

Interested to hear your opinions on the ride/handling quality of the springs! I'm looking to do the same except I'll want to add the bilstein struts. Car is looking great, though!

looking good! I also have H&R Sport (on DHP) and couldn't be happier Get the spacers I have H&R 13mm Rear & 10mm Front. You can even go for 15mm Rear.

Thank you! I'll be sure to write something up after I take her out for a solid ride. You'll probably love it even more with the Bilstein struts!!

It came up to about $350, which seems to be the median price from what I found in my research. Much more than I expected to pay when I bought the springs-- actually, it cost me $100 more than the springs themselves lol!

Awesome! Thanks for the recommendation! If you could do it again, would you go with the 15mm rear spacers then?

Why, thank you! I really love the balance of aggression and functionality on the F30. With just a few modifications I turned it into exactly what I was looking for. Don't get me wrong, I fell in love with the stock model, but every relationship needs some spice at some point!

Every F30 is special, but the more work you put into it the more you'll appreciate the beauty of its details. Thank you!

Thank you!! No, it's matte as it came. It just appears to be glossy in some pictures due to the lighting.

I did the 15mm recently on my 335 and am happy with them with zero rubbing. I am on H&R sport springs too and even though my rims are only 18", the wheel diameter is basically the same. 15mm works just fine. Pics after installation (10mm front, 15mm rear):

Thank you for sharing; they look great!! I think I'll have to go for some spacers along with my rear diffuser and side splitters
